Foreword Communications organised and managed the official opening ceremony of Vector Aerospace Asia's new MRO facility as well as the MOU signing with Republic Polytechnic on the partnership in the non-distructive testing (NDT) level 2 certification.  NDT is one of the key activities performed by MROs to ensure structural integrity of aircraft components.  The GOH for the event was Mr Yeoh Keat Chuan, Managing Director of the Singapore Economic Development Board. A tour of the facility was held after the opening ceremony.

Foreword Communications organised and managed the official opening ceremony of Continental's new R&D building extension as well as the media briefing and media tour of the exhibition. Two media interviews and one phone interview was also arranged on-site for the Continental's senior management. The GOH for the event was Mr Lim Kok Kiang, Assistant Managing Director for Transport Engineering and Asia Pacific, of the Singapore Economic Development Board. The offical opening was held alongside Continental's Innovation & Technology Day, which was opened to the public for the very first time. The Innovation & Technology Day featured webinars and talks for tertiery students and memebrs of the public as well as showcased more than 30 exhibits of Continental in-car technologies such the seat comfort system, touch display technology and haptic feedback technology.  There were 5 cars on display and a key highlight was the on-road demonstration of the EV car which featured the Smart City Parking application, a component of the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) join lab developed by Continental, A*star's I2R and TUM Create, following the MOU on 29 May 2014.

Foreword Communications organised and managed media relations aspect which includes drafting of the press release, press advisory as well as facilitated the media briefing after the event. Tuas Power is the first eletricity retailer in SIngapore to provide the Automated Meter Reading (AMR) which involves the automatic round-the-clock collection of consumption, diagnostic, and status data online from energy metering devices to a central database for billing, troubleshooting, and analysis. With an AMR system, billings are based on near real-time half-hourly consumption rather than on estimates based on past, predicted or monthly consumption. The timely information, accessed via TPS AMR online portal coupled with analysis and comparisons of usage across all levels, will assist CDL’s tenants and Tuas Power’s customers, to better control and manage their energy usage patterns and potentially lower energy consumption.

The MOU is the first collaboration between A*STAR’s Institute for Infocomm Research (I²R) and Technische Universität München (Technical University of Munich, TUM CREATE) and german Automotive player, Continenetal, to set up an Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Lab which will involve the research, study and test-bedding of a whole range of communications, information and automotive innovations & technologies that improve the safety, efficiency, and performance of transport systems in Singapore

The Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC) and the FederlegnoArredo (FLA), the Italian Federation of Wood, Cork, Furniture and Furnishing Industries signed a MOU to promote better understanding, encourage knowledge-sharing and create further partnership opportunities between Singapore and Italian furniture players and designers.  The MOU was signed by SFIC President, Mr Andrew Ng and President of FLA, Mr Rosario Messina. It was witnessed by Dr Massimiliano P. Sponzilli, the Italian Trade Commissioner in Singapore and Mr Chong Lit Cheong, CEO of IE Singapore, this is the first agreement of its kind between the local furniture council and a European counterpart. Foreword Communications planned and managed the year-long media publicity programme for The International Furniture Fair Singapore 2009/26th ASEAN Furniture Show (IFFS/AFS 2009) which culminated in the official opening of the fair on 9 March 2009 Widely regarded as one of Asia’s premier, design-led furniture trade shows, IFFS/AFS 2009 continued to earn the confidence of global furniture players, drawing 471 exhibitors representing 33 countries. Close to 30 per cent of total exhibitors were first-time participants hailing from 26 countries, including Australia, Belgium, France, the United Kingdom and countries from all over Asia.  Singapore’s Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Mr Lee Yi Shyan, was guest of honour at the official opening. More than 17,000 local and international visitors attended the show.

Foreword Communications planned and managed the publicity campaign for the prestigious Furniture Design Award (FDA) 2009 organised by the Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC). This year’s competition drew entries from designers and young talents from all over the globe. The design pieces of 26 finalists were short-listed for the finals on 6 March 2009 prior to the International Furniture Fair/ASEAN Furniture Show 2009 from 9 to 12 March 2009 at the Singapore Expo. Up from last year’s 530 entries, FDA 2009 received an overwhelming total of 637 submissions from 19 countries, namely Australia, Belgium, China, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, the Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, United States and Vietnam.  The even received widespread media coverage in the local and international press.

Foreword Communications planned and managed the official opening of Nitto Denko Corporation (Nitto Denko), Asia Technical Centre (NAT). A leading diversified materials company, NAT will focus strongly on integrated organic electronic device development, making it the first company in Singapore to pioneer R&D in this area. The event was officiated by Mr Lim Chuan Poh, the Chairman of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). NAT will undertake the company’s Integrated Organic Optoelectronic Sensing Device Project in collaboration with the A*STAR Data Storage Institute (DSI), A*STAR Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU).  At the opening ceremony, Nitto Denko inked agreements with DSI, IMRE and NTU to fund and carry out three separate and concurrent research projects on the development of novel organic electronic sensing devices. Nitto Denko plans to invest S$10 million over the three-year research term.

Foreword Communications organised the official opening of Paris-listed Soitec Group its first manufacturing facility outside of France at the Pasir Ris Wafer Park in Singapore. Soitec is the world’s leading manufacturer of silicon-on-insulator (SOI) wafers and other engineered substrates used in the microelectronics industry.   Foreword Communications handled the local and international press relations for The International Furniture Fair Singapore 2008/25th ASEAN Furniture Show (IFFS/AFS 2008) from 9 to 12 March 2008. The event attracted 517 exhibitors representing 33 different countries, of which an impressive 31 per cent made their debut at the event.The Minister for Information, Communication and the Arts, Dr Lee Boon Yang, officiated at the opening ceremony of IFFS/AFS 2008, which is widely regarded as one of Asia’s premier furniture trade shows. IFFS/AFS 2008 occupied seven halls at the Singapore Expo, spreading across 44,000 square metres of nett exhibition space. This was a 12 per cent increase in nett space compared to the previous show, making IFFS/AFS 2008 the largest in the fair’s 25-year history.

The e-cellä technology is based on the concept of synthetic exercise that complements the body’s own healing processes of tissue generation by utilising the electromagnetic field to simulate exercise at the cellular level. The fair opened with a total of 510 participating exhibitors from 28 countries showcasing the latest offerings in furniture and furnishing products. Mr Lim Hng Kiang, Minister for Trade and Industry, officiated the opening ceremony of the five-day exhibition which has become a highly-anticipated event on the international furniture trade show circuit.   Foreword Communications planned and managed the media programme of the coveted annual Furniture Design Award 2007 (FDA 2007) organised by the Singapore Furniture industries Council. .The call for entries for FDA 2007 began in June 2006. The Award, which comprises the Students, Young Designers and Open categories, received a total of 377 entries from Singapore and 13 other countries across the world namely Australia, Belgium, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, the Philippines, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States.  The results of the competition was announced on 28 Feb 2007 . Wining entries were exhibited at IFFS/AFS 2007 at the Singapore Expo form 1 to 5 March 2007. The event received widespread coverage in the local and international media.

  Foreword Communications organised the contract-signing ceremony and press conference for Diethelm Keller Aviation’s contract with Boeing on 20 March 2006. The company was selected by Boeing Commercial Airplanes to provide rotable food service equipment for its newest mid-size and long-range aircraft, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Worth in excess of US$50 million over the life of the contract with Diethelm Keller Aviation, it is the first such contract by Boeing with a manufacturer to supply food service equipment. The contract was signed by Mr. Chia Chee Seng, Chief Executive Officer of Diethelm Keller Aviation Pte Ltd and Mr Paul DiBianco, Senior Manager, Global Partners Interiors Boeing Commercial Airplanes at the ceremony.

International Furniture Fair Singapore (IFFS) Pte Ltd, the organiser of IFFS/AFS, also announced the launch of the World of Woodworking Machinery (WOWMAC) 2007 at the event. The joint venture between Lonza and Bio*One Capital was signed on 14 February 2006, followed by the ground-breaking for the new facility the next day at Tuas Biomedical Park. Mr Stefan Borgas, CEO of Lonza hosted both events. The Minister for Trade & Industry, Mr Lim Hng Kiang officiated at the ground-breaking with the Swiss Ambassador, Dr Daniel Woker in attendence. More than 100 guests attended the event followed by a reception at Raffles Country Club.

The S$750 million facility known as Universal Terminal (S) Pte Ltd, is the Company’s first onshore tankage in Singapore. Besides being one of the largest independent oil terminals in the world, Universal Terminal will also be the first independent oil terminal in the region with two very large crude carrier (VLCC) berths.
